CULTURAL & COMMUNITY EVENTS

EASTER PICNIC & EGG HUNT

Our annual Easter Picnic & Egg Hunt, organized together with the Polish Saturday School of Raleigh, brings Polish Easter traditions to life for children and adults alike. Families gather for an Easter egg hunt, traditional crafts, decorating eggs and Easter baskets, shared food, and plenty of outdoor fun.

It is a wonderful opportunity for younger generations to experience Polish traditions while the entire community celebrates Easter together.

MAJÓWKA PICNIC

Majówka is one of PAC’s favorite spring traditions, bringing our community together to celebrate Polish Constitution Day in a relaxed picnic atmosphere.

Polish food, music, outdoor games, activities for children, and time spent with friends and family make Majówka both a celebration of Polish heritage and a wonderful community gathering.

POLISH BAKE SALE

Homemade Polish cakes and pastries are always a popular part of PAC’s presence at local festivals and community events. Our volunteers prepare traditional Polish treats that introduce visitors to the flavors of Poland while helping raise funds to support PAC programs and activities.

Every slice of cake is a little taste of Poland — and a way to support our community!

POLISH CULTURAL BOOTH

PAC proudly promotes Polish culture and heritage at international and multicultural festivals throughout the Triangle. Our Polish cultural booths introduce visitors to Poland through traditional decorations, folk costumes, history, art, music, and information about Polish customs and traditions.

These events give us an opportunity to share our heritage with the wider North Carolina community and encourage visitors to discover more about Poland.

BONFIRE

Our community bonfires are all about spending a relaxed evening together. Gathered around the fire, we enjoy Polish sausages, s’mores, music, conversation, and sometimes even a little dancing.

These informal gatherings are a simple but wonderful way to meet new people, strengthen friendships, and enjoy being part of the PAC community.

Surrounded by nature and the warmth of the fire, everyone can unwind and enjoy a casual evening with friends and family. Each bonfire creates new memories and brings our community even closer together.

PADAREWSKI FESTIVAL

The Annual Ignacy Jan Paderewski Piano Festival of Raleigh concludes its celebration of classical piano music and the extraordinary legacy of Ignacy Jan Paderewski — one of Poland’s most renowned pianists, composers, and statesmen. The festival is a wonderful opportunity to experience outstanding music while celebrating an important part of Polish cultural heritage. For thirteen years, the festival has brought exceptional pianists and classical music lovers together in the Triangle area. It also helps introduce American audiences to Paderewski’s remarkable contributions to both music and Polish history. Through these annual concerts, his artistic legacy continues to inspire new generations and strengthen the cultural connection between Poland and the United States.

POLISH KARAOKE

Polish Karaoke is a fun and relaxed way to bring our community together through music. After three successful gatherings, it has already become a great opportunity to sing, laugh, and enjoy some of our favorite Polish songs together.

We sing exclusively in Polish, with the original performer’s vocals playing along to make it easier for everyone to join in — no singing experience required!

Polish Karaoke takes place on Sunday evenings at Clouds Brewing Storm Cellar in Chapel Hill, offering a casual atmosphere to meet new people, reconnect with friends, and celebrate Polish music.

Come sing with us — whether you take the microphone or simply sing along from your seat! 🎤🇵🇱🎶

CHRISTMAS DINNER

Our annual Christmas Dinner brings the PAC community together to celebrate Polish holiday traditions in a warm and festive atmosphere. We share the traditional Christmas wafer (opłatek), exchange holiday wishes, enjoy delicious homemade dishes, and spend an evening filled with friendship, conversation, and Christmas spirit. It is a special time to celebrate our Polish heritage and the joy of being together as a community. The evening is filled with Polish Christmas carols, festive decorations, and traditions that many of us remember from our family homes in Poland. Members bring dishes to share, creating a wonderful table of traditional Polish holiday flavors. Most importantly, our Christmas Dinner strengthens friendships and gives everyone — longtime members, newcomers, families, and friends — a true sense of belonging to our Polish-American community.
