Sorry, but we will not accept any late registrations or walk-ins without registration.

Polish Film Series at Duke - "Volhynia" (aka Hatred)

The screening of "Wolyn / Volhynia" will be October 17, at 6:pmSocial Sciences Bldg., room 139, West Campus, of Duke University.

Before the screening, Dr. Daniel Fedorowycz (Research Fellow at University of Toronto) will give a talk "What Happened Between Poles and Ukrainians During World War II?" focusing on Polish-Ukrainian interpretations of the Wolyn massacre and how these interpretations cast a shadow on future relationships between the two countries.  
Dr. Fedorowycz holds a DPhil in Politics from the University of Oxford. He researches questions relating to the causes of ethnic conflict, with a particular emphasis on Ukraine and Central/Eastern Europe.

When: July 20 - July 22, 2018; Friday (evening) through  Sunday (afternoon)
Where: Mount Airy, NC (once registered, you will receive exact address & phone # to contact)

You must Register by sending email to (polam.raleigh@gmail.com) stating the following: number of guests and day(s) you plan to stay. (children & small dogs are welcome)
Space is limited and we will accept registration on first come - first get basis.
Due date for registration is July 15, 2018

In addition to spending time with our friendly Hosts and fellow Club Members, you can choose among several attractions that the area can provide: 

   River tubing $5/per person for 45 min or $10 for 3 hours/person
   Swimming pool nearby
   Canoeing; Fishing; Biking; Hiking etc...

Sleeping arrangements: Hosts can provide 2 beds; 3 sofas; few air mattresses. All on a first come - first get basis.  
Be prepared to sleep in a big common room under your own sleeping bag. Tents are not allowed. You need to bring your own bed sheets.

    Ph.D. and M.S. in plant pathology and biochemistry in Seed Biocontrol, post-doctoral from Cornell University in biocontrol, MBA in finance from the University of Rochester.

    PAC Happy Hour @ Małgosia & Andrzej Szymczyk home

    The Polish-American Club of the Triangle and Malgosia & Andrzej Szymczyk cordially invite PAC Members to a Happy Hour at Malgosia & Andrzej's house.

    When:  Friday, May 26, 2017, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM
    Where:  304 Anvil Horn Pl, Wendell, NC 27591

    Please bring your favorite dish/drink to share with others.

    The event is free to all PAC members.

    Directions (the house is not yet on google map):
    1. From  I-40 E/US-64 E, I-440 W and US-264 E/US-64 E, I-540 take exit to Wilson/ Rocky Mount.
    2. Take exit 427 from US-264 E/US-64 E to Wendell Falls Pkwy.
    3. Continue on Wendell Falls Pkwy.
    4. Drive to Iron Mill Dr in Wendell (third street on right).
    5. Take right to Drift Falls Ln
    6. Fourth house on right.

    Polish-American May Picnic - Majowka

    The Polish-American Club of the Triangle cordially invites you to the annual Polish-American May Picnic - Majowka. We will celebrate Polish Constitution Day with games, food, music and outdoor activities. 

    When: Sunday, May 7th, 2017, 2:00 PM – sunset– rain or shine
    Where: Holly Glen Clubhouse, 201 Hollymont Dr, Holly Springs, NC 27540 (in front of the Holly Glen swimming pool).

    Cost of attendance (per person - paid at the door – cash, checks and credit cards accepted):
    Adults (18+): Club members: $5, non-members: $10 
    Accompanied Children:  FREE

    The Club will provide delicious picnic food: hamburgers, hot-dogs, water and soft drinks.
    Bring your own lawn chairs, additional beverages, and a salad or fruit plate to share with others.
